WHAT MAKES CARLSON COLLEGE OF MASSAGE THERAPY “DIFFERENT”? SEE FOR YOURSELF….
*At Carlson College you will receive an education that begins with a great Swedish massage foundation. Upon successful completion of this coursework, students then move into the neuromuscular based work that we call “Specifics”. This work is rehabilitative based and educates the students on how to effectively treat chronic or acute muscular dysfunction. Combining these two modalities is what makes our graduates highly marketable in the healthcare community and why our graduates are in high demand!
Watch a short video of our students https://carlsoncollege.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/11/why-ccmt.mp4Did you know that Carlson College of Massage Therapy is approved to offer Federal Student Aid? We are one of the only colleges in Iowa that exclusively teaches massage therapy and offers Federal Student Aid? It’s TRUE!
*Our programs are 600 hours and you have the choice to complete in 6 months (daytime/weekday) and 11 months (evening and scheduled Saturdays)!
Request More Information*The United States Bureau of Labor Statistics lists massage therapy in their occupational outlook handbook as a career with growth of 15% from now until 2034. That is as “much faster than average” compared to other occupations.

*We are excited to share that our licensing exam (MBLEx) passing rate is well above the State of Iowa average as well as the national average. *100% of our Spring 2021 Full Time program students AND Spring 2021 Part Time program students took and PASSED the MBLEx (state massage licensing exam) before graduation!
*We are the first school in Iowa accredited by COMTA (Commission on Massage Therapy Accreditation). In Iowa, schools do not have to be accredited. We choose to be accredited for reasons that greatly benefit and protect the student. PLEASE NOTE: graduating from an accredited school is required in several states such as Arizona! Should you want to relocate, this is VERY important! An education with us allows for better portability throughout the country!
*We keep costs as low as possible to keep an education within reach. We want you to know the costs and fees for attending our school. Click here for complete tuition information.
Financial Qualifications*Our student clinic operates in a fashion that simulates a professional massage clinic. This is a far better opportunity than individual scholarships because ALL of our students benefit from our unique student clinic opportunity! Call or come in for a visit to learn more!
*We love to get involved in the community and provide massages at events….we proudly support community events such as Special Olympics (Cedar Rapids), Especially for You Race Against Breast Cancer, Animal Welfare Foundation (Jones County, Iowa) and other local events.
*At CCMT, your program hours are all supervised by our experienced, professional faculty – your time at school is to learn and advance, your time at home is to study and refine your skills
